Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing various finishing tasks on construction projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a range of skills in carpentry, hand tools, and finishing techniques.
Duties
- Apply caulking and sealants to joints, seams, and openings to ensure proper insulation and weatherproofing
- Use hand tools such as saws, drills, and air tools to perform finishing tasks with precision
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support construction activities
- Complete carpentry tasks including trimming, framing, or installing fixtures as needed
- Conduct touch-up painting or staining to achieve a polished final appearance
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and quality control measures
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or handyman work with a focus on finishing tasks
- Proficiency in using hand tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong knowledge of caulking techniques and finishing processes
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials as needed
- Reliable work ethic with a focus on safety and teamwork
