We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Designer in our London office. The successful candidate will be involved in the design of mechanical building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection.
Artificial Intelligence may be used as part of our hiring process to screen, assess or select applicants for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing mechanical drawings, schematics, and details using AutoCAD and/or Revit·
- Coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain technical information and budget pricing
- Supporting the development of specifications
- Participating in site investigations to verify existing conditions, take measurements, and document findings
- Support project delivery during construction
Skills / Qualifications
- · Post-secondary diploma in Architectural Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical building system design
- Experience with construction practices, materials, and methods
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, contracts, and supplementary documents
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and their operation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required
- Familiarity with electrical building systems is considered an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work diligently and methodically under pressure
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
