Duties
- Operate packaging machinery and equipment to accurately pack meat products according to specifications
- Ensure all meat is properly cut, weighed, and wrapped following food safety standards and company procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work stations, adhering strictly to food processing sanitation protocols
- Inspect meat products for quality, freshness, and proper labeling before packaging
- Assist with meat butchery tasks when needed, including trimming and portioning cuts of meat
- Follow safety guidelines diligently to prevent contamination or injury during handling and packaging
- Record production data accurately, including quantities packed and any quality issues encountered
Skills
- Experience in packaging within the manufacturing or food industry preferred
- Knowledge of butchery techniques and meat cutting processes
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices in food processing environments
- Mechanical knowledge to operate packaging machinery and troubleshoot minor issues
- Strong attention to detail for quality control and proper labeling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of hygiene
- Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
