Job Summary
A Line Cook plays a vital role in bringing Popeyes’ authentic Cajun-creole flavors to life. You'll prepare and present menu items in a fast-paced environment while ensuring quality, consistency, and a memorable guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to Popeyes’ recipes and quality standards.
- Read and follow order tickets to ensure accurate, timely order.
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of your prep station, kitchen tools, and surrounding areas.
- Monitor food quality and temperature to guarantee freshness and safety.
- Unload, stock inventory, and assist with supply organization as needed.
- Collaborate with teammates; assist in other tasks or stations when needed.
- Interact courteously with guests when applicable—smiles, greeting, order confirmation, gratitude.
Qualifications & Skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety, portion control, and the ability to follow precise recipes.
- Strong teamwork and effective communication with front-of-house and kitchen staff.
- Willingness to learn multiple stations and adapt to changing tasks.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lb occasionally, carry up to 60 lb, reach, bend, kneel.
