Our client is looking for a Project Manager to participate in the estimating process as well as plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion in a timely and cost-effective manner. Key Responsibilities:

Schedule & Cost Management: Create and maintain project schedules and cost projections for awarded work, including daily tracking and adjustment of work-in-progress to meet contractual performance conditions.

Estimating Support: Participate in the estimating process to finalize contract-ready budgets prior to job kickoff, and develop estimates for scope-of-work changes throughout an active project.

Contracts & Compliance: Negotiate agreement terms, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses while continuously identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks.

Client Relations: Lead customer communication and maintain high levels of client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle, including attending regular progress meetings.

Resource Allocation: Ensure job sites are fully equipped with the correct permits, tools, materials, and machinery, and maintain accurate inventory tracking.

Project Oversight: Direct construction projects from concept to handover, ensuring both onsite and offsite compliance with building safety regulations, quality standards, and proper construction methodologies.

Site Coordination: Partner with the Site Supervisor to effectively coordinate and direct construction personnel and subcontractors.

Reporting: Prepare accurate internal and external reports regarding job status, timelines, and budgets.

Proactive Problem Solving: Plan ahead to mitigate potential bottlenecks and resolve emerging issues using solutions that align with client expectations.
Required Qualifications:

Education: A degree or certificate in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management and estimating, with a proven track record in cost control and budget management.
*
Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of the Canadian Building Code.
*
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in scheduling, with hands-on experience managing purchase orders, project documentation, and contract drafting.
*
Interpersonal Skills: Possess exceptional negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
