Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or stripping to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply primers, paints, stains, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with accuracy and efficiency
- Use hand tools and power tools to assist in surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts safely to transport materials or position items for painting
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to meet project deadlines while adhering to quality standards
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge to understand equipment surfaces and preparation technique
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
