Together, Coastal Kids children expand their knowledge through a coastal-based lens as they learn about the wildlife and nature native to British Columbia.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and implement high-quality programming that supports children’s physical, emotional, cognitive and social development through the use of natural materials
- Foster meaningful outdoor or indoor nature-based learning experiences daily
- Create and maintain a safe, calm and engaging learning environment
- Support children’s curiosity, independence and creativity through child-led, organic learning
- Observe and assess children’s development and keep families up to date with progress or areas of improvement.
- Work collaboratively with educators to maintain a positive, upbeat and supportive team culture
- Demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm in all aspects of the role
Qualifications
- Valid BC ECE or ECE (I/T) License required
- Current BC Emergency First Aid & CPR-C Certification
- Minimum 1 year experience working in childcare preferred
- Strong understanding of child development and guidance strategies
- Experience or interest in Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, outdoor, or nature-based education is considered a strong asset
- Class 4 License an asset

Compensation and Benefits
- Wage from: $26–$30/hr based on experience (includes Wage Enhancement)
- Full benefits package
- 5 paid sick days per year
- Permanent, full-time position.
- Extended health care
- Five paid sick days per year
- Two paid personal days per year
Expected start date: August 2026
Schedule: Monday to Friday flexible hours between 6am - 6pm
