This position is responsible for order picking and it can be physically demanding with continual walking, standing, stretching, bending, and lifting. It also requires remembering details of products and customers' requirements.
Shift Schedule: 06:00 p.m. - 02:30 a.m.
Responsibilities:
Order Selection:

Palletize and effectively organize finished products.

Organize finish product cooler and put away at the end of production.

Vigilantly monitor product quality.

Coordinate with other workstations to ensure order competition.

Put away finish product and raw material at the end of the shift.

Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.

Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.

Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Equipment Operation:
-
Safely and efficiently operate material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, order pickers, and voice-directed picking systems.
Skills:
Order Selection: Proven ability to accurately and efficiently select orders with minimal errors.
Physical Requirements

Repetitive lifting from 5 lb to 50 lb (50%).

Organize products including transportation by pallet jack in production area and wrapping pallet (50%).

Noisy environment, hearing protection provided.

Cold environment (1 to 7 degrees Celsius, 100%)

May require operating food processing machinery, Rider, Manual pallet jack.
Certifications:
Forklift certification preferred.
Voice-directed picking system training preferred.
Education:
High school diploma or GED
Experience:

Previous experience working in a food manufacturing or warehouse considered an asset.

Previous experience operating power equipment considered an asset.
