Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. Unfortunately we are unable to sponsor a work visa at this time, neither staff accommodation. Given the urgency in filling this position, we will prioritize candidates who are located in the Bow Valley area. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing delicious meals that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling procedures.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines in all aspects of food preparation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality meal preparation.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen.
