Nortech Parking Systems is a leading provider of parking access and revenue control equipment across Western Canada. We install, maintain, and support automated parking systems for commercial properties, healthcare facilities, municipalities, airports, and private businesses.
We are looking for a motivated, dependable Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our team in Winnipeg MB. This role focuses on keeping our customers' parking equipment operating at peak performance through scheduled maintenance, inspections, cleaning, testing, and minor repairs.
What you will be doing
As a Preventive Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Performing scheduled preventive maintenance on parking equipment and access control systems.
- Customer service – assist with and handle all customer inquiries both remotely and onsite
- Cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to manufacturer specifications.
- Address any deficiencies on locations with respect to appearance, safety, equipment
- Inspecting ticket dispensers, payment kiosks, barrier gates, card readers, cameras, and related equipment.
- Monitor and respond to system alerts through a variety of platforms
- Identifying worn or failing components before they become service issues.
- Replacing basic mechanical and electrical components when required.
- Testing equipment functionality after maintenance is completed.
- Prepare and complete work orders, electronic maintenance reports and documenting work performed.
- Warehouse Operations Associate
- Maintain and manage inventory of equipment, inventory of commonly used service parts and tools.
- Following all company safety procedures and customer site requirements.
- Representing Nortech Parking Systems professionally while onsite with customers.
- Other related duties may be assigned
Who we are looking for:
- Best in class customer service
- Valid Driver's license & Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) Required
- Low Voltage Electrical experience - wiring signage, relays, etc..
- Power Limited Technician (PLT) License a plus.
- CAT6 termination and wire pulling experience
- On Call Shift in Rotation with other Technicians
- Possess hand tools required to perform work. Power tools will be provided as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- General technical knowledge
- Strong analytical skills to gather and summarize data and reports
- Ability to recognize problems, trouble shoot and execute solutions
- Complete multiple projects simultaneously with a degree of self-direction
- Work well in team environment
- Time management, multi-tasking, and organization skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and remain calm / maintain positive attitude under pressure
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
- Maintain a reliable and dependable attendance record
