Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, assist the dentist during procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of our dental practice. The Certified Dental Assistant will play a vital role in supporting patient comfort and delivering high-quality dental services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols (IPAC)
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including restorative, orthodontic, and pediatric treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology and other imaging tools
- Manage patient records using practice management software such as AbelDent and OpenDental
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Ensure patient comfort by explaining procedures and addressing concerns effectively
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment
- Support administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Qualifications
- Proven experience with dental assisting, including familiarity with orthodontics and oral surgery
- Proficiency with dental software such as AbelDent and OpenDental systems for imaging and record keeping
- Knowledge of dental terminology relevant to dentistry and orthodontics
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Commitment to adhering to infection control standards and safety protocols
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
