Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Roller Operator responsible for compacting asphalt to meet quality and density specifications. The ideal candidate has experience working on paving crews and takes pride in producing a clean, finished product.
Responsibilities
- Operate asphalt roller to compact base and asphalt surfaces
- Achieve proper compaction, smoothness, and finish
- Work closely with paving crew, paver operator, and foreman
- Monitor mat temperature and rolling patterns
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Assist with general labour duties as required
- Follow all safety protocols and site procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years experience operating asphalt rollers
- Experience with commercial and/or municipal paving projects
- Knowledge of compaction techniques and rolling patterns
- Ability to work long hours and weekends when needed
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Strong work ethic and team player attitude
