Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate account reconciliation, and maintaining seamless communication with clients. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and excellent data entry skills to support the company's financial operations effectively. The Billing Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting overall business health through precise billing and account management.
Duties
- Prepare and process invoices using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
- Perform account reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial data
- Conduct detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records through diligent data entry
- Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries via phone with professional etiquette
- Negotiate payment terms and resolve billing issues efficiently
- Assist with month-end closing processes and financial reporting tasks
- Support the finance team with ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed
Experience
- Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Strong background in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management
- Experience in account reconciliation, analysis, and account analysis processes
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated customer service skills, including phone etiquette and professional communication
- Ability to analyze financial data, perform negotiations, and resolve discrepancies effectively
- Familiarity with financial services industry standards is preferred
- Strong math skills combined with analytical thinking to interpret complex financial information
