Role Overview
Direct Support Professional on our Float Team: As a DSP, you will be assigned to a cohort where you will play a key role in providing essential support to individuals with intellectual disabilities by assisting them in all areas of daily living and fostering community engagement, while promoting independence. Your work will reflect a person-centered approach, ensuring that each individual’s preferences, needs, and goals are at the forefront. Being a member of the Float Team means adopting dynamic and flexible approaches, adjusting from supporting multiple individuals to one, based on the needs of each day. While you will have a regular schedule, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts, where you work each shift will be based on the daily evolving needs and determined at the beginning of your workday. Your responsibilities will include assisting individuals with daily living activities, including community participation, personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and general housekeeping duties.

What We’re Looking For:
· Post-secondary degree or diploma (e.g., DSW, Behavioural Science or Psychology, SSW, CYC, CJS, or a degree) and/or significant work experience in social services
· Availability to work flexible shifts, days, afternoons, evenings, overnight (4, 8, 10, 12 hours) including weekends and holidays.
· Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and dual diagnoses
· A valid Ontario "G" driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
· CPIC with Vulnerable Sector Screening
