Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Tree Care Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks related to all aspects of tree care. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic work environment. Candidates must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Duties
- Assist in the safe removal or pruning of trees in residential and commercial settings.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as chipper, skid steer, chainsaws, mobile wood mill, firewood processing equipment etc.
- Safely assist in the technical rigging of trees.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to tree removal and equipment operation.
- Frequent operation of pickup trucks while towing and reversing with trailers.
Skills
- Experience in tree works and arboriculture is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in operation of chainsaws and other tree related equipment an asset but not required.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Interpersonal skills to ensure thorough communication with customers and team members.
- Physical stamina with the capability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Valid G Drivers licence with a clean drivers abstract. AR Drivers licence is an asset.
