We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Prep Cook to join our kitchen team at Browns Social house. The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting cooks and chefs during daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate works efficiently in a fast-paced environment and follows food safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and making sauces or dressings
- Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations
- Properly store food items and label ingredients
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
- Follow recipes, portion standards, and food safety procedures
- Restock kitchen supplies and notify management of shortages
- Support line cooks and kitchen staff during service periods
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Team-oriented attitude with strong work ethic
