About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable, passionate and experienced Catering & Production Cook to join our team. The role involves preparing high-quality meals for catering orders, producing ready-to-sell foods for our shop, and assisting with daily kitchen prep and food production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items (ex. soups, salads, sandwiches, prepared foods, entrees, sides, etc) according to recipes and quality standards
- Perform daily food prep, including chopping, portioning, marinating, and ingredient preparation.
- Package, label and stock prepared foods for retail sale
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
- Support catering setup and production as required
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules and customer demand
Qualifications:
- Valid Ontario Food Handler's certification
- Previous experience as a cook, catering cook, or in food production (min. 3 years) is a MUST
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a collaborative setting
- Previous experience with catering is preferred
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 22kg (50lbs) and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility in schedule (including weekends, early mornings, evenings, and some
holidays) Weekend availability is a MUST
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
