Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Forklift Operator is responsible for performing various task in the warehouse while safely driving the forklift.
Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the key responsibilities of the role are:
- Loading and unloading goods from vehicles and checking if loads are secure
- Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
- Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
- Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment
- Pick up empty pallets, cartons, plastics, etc
- Any other task compatible with these functions
Qualifications
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others
- Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
- Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
- Forklift certification
- 1-2 years experience driving a forklift
Wage $25/hour depending on experience.
