Job Summary
We are currently hiring an experienced Stucco Plasterer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of hands-on experience applying stucco finishes and takes pride in high-quality workmanship on residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Apply plaster, stucco, and other finishing materials to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces according to blueprints and project requirements
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or removing old finishes to ensure proper adhesion of new materials
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for mixing, applying, and finishing plaster materials
- Perform caulking and sealing tasks to ensure joints and seams are properly finished
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris appropriately
- Apply stucco systems including scratch coat, brown coat, and finish coat (double coat cement systems)
- Perform acrylic stucco applications and texture finishes
- Use Darby, float, and other finishing tools to achieve high-quality smooth and textured surfaces
- Prepare and clean surfaces prior to application
- Mix stucco materials to proper consistency
- Install mesh, lath, and insulation systems (EIFS experience is an asset)
- Repair and patch existing stucco surfaces
- Follow blueprints, instructions, and safety standards
- Work efficiently both independently and as part of a crew
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience as a stucco plasterer or in a similar construction role
- Strong skills in plastering techniques with attention to detail for high-quality finishes
- Strong knowledge of stucco systems including scratch coat, double coat cement, acrylic finishes, and texture applications
- Ability to work at heights and on scaffolding
- Physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license preferred
- Prior experience in construction is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
