Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Hydraulics & Pneumatics
Full-Time | Permanent | Ingersol, Ontario
Salary Range - $90 000 - $110 000
Work Week - 4-day, Monday-Thursday, 10 hours/day
Better Together Group is recruiting on behalf of a confidential manufacturing client seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, and custom equipment design.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys taking projects from concept through production while providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom hydraulic and pneumatic components and assemblies.
- Manage projects through concept, prototyping, testing, and production.
- Perform engineering calculations, FEA analysis, and product validation testing.
- Create and maintain BOMs, engineering documentation, and technical reports.
- Lead design reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Design tooling, fixtures, gauges, and manufacturing support equipment.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, production, and cross-functional teams.
- Mentor junior designers and provide technical guidance.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- Minimum 8 years of mechanical design experience.
- Strong experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, or mobile equipment.
- Advanced SolidWorks skills.
- Solid understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills.
- Project management experience is considered an asset.
