Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes and supporting the overall food service process. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, food safety, and delivering excellent customer experiences in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with consistency, quality, and presentation in mind
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety guidelines
- Assist with food handling, storage, and inventory management
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours to ensure timely service
- Follow health and safety regulations to uphold sanitation standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and customer satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety standards
- Experience with meal preparation and kitchen equipment operation is a plus
- Strong understanding of the food industry, including hygiene practices and quality control
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
