We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Intermediate Accounting Technician for a 4+ month contract in the Rocky Mountain House area. This is a full-time, onsite role with an immediate start, ideally suited for candidates based locally or able to reliably commute for the duration of the assignment.
Role Overview
This contract focuses primarily on high-volume reconciliations and transactional cleanup. The successful candidate will be hands-on, organized, and comfortable working through historical data to resolve discrepancies and clear accounting backlogs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bank, credit card, and sub-ledger reconciliations (including A/P and A/R)
- Investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies
- Identify and correct duplicate or misallocated entries
- Conduct data cleanup to support accurate and timely financial close
- Work through high volumes of historical transactions efficiently
Required Qualifications
- Strong working experience with Sage 300 (ability to start with minimal onboarding)
- Proven experience in account reconciliations and transactional accounting
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage workload in a deadline-driven environment
