As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in:

Organize and carry out small to medium scale field programs that are designed to support our Water group, with a wide range of activities

Coordinate with external subcontractors and develop work plans focused on hydrogeological and rural servicing studies

Review and implement project specific health and safety plans, and engage in actively creating a safe work environment

Complete field level activities, including supervision of monitor well installations, borehole drilling and logging, collection of soil and water samples, surface water monitoring, long-term groundwater monitoring, hydraulic testing, and private water well inspections

Work with senior technical staff in reviewing, analyzing, and producing hydrogeological data, including pumping test analysis, groundwater hydrographs, groundwater and surface water chemistry assessments, and dewatering assessments

Preparation of technical reports including water supply assessments, hydrogeological reports for land development, impact assessments for construction activities, Permit to Take Water applications, and other documents related to hydrogeological assessments

Actively engage with other team members, and engage in a wide range of disciplines, where appropriate

Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario

To apply to this position, you should expect to have:

Degree or diploma in earth science (hydrogeology) or engineering or related discipline

Geoscientist-in-training is an asset

Experience or familiarity and interest in hydrogeology

Good communication and interpersonal skills

A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from office/site (mileage to sites compensated)

The salary for this position will be commensurate with the years of relevant experience and qualifications that the successful candidate brings to the role.
