As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Dental Hygienist who is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and thrives in a collaborative, team-driven setting.
About the Role
This role is focused on supporting our orthodontic patients through all phases of treatment. The ideal candidate has a strong interest or background in orthodontics and is passionate about patient education, compliance, and achieving optimal clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional dental cleanings using the EMS system (Guided Biofilm Therapy – GBT)
- Deliver hygiene care tailored to orthodontic patients (fixed appliances, aligners, retainers)
- Take dental radiographs using digital systems as required
- Educate patients on oral hygiene specific to orthodontic treatment and appliance care
- Monitor oral health throughout orthodontic treatment and communicate findings to the clinical team
- Accurately record clinical findings and treatment notes using Tracker software
- Support orthodontic and general examinations as needed
- Maintain efficient patient flow and schedule integrity
- Ensure compliance with CDHO and IPAC sterilization and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment
Requirements (Mandatory)
- Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing
- Previous dental office experience
- Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work efficiently with a high standard of clinical care
Additional Assets
- Experience working with orthodontic patients (braces, aligners, retainers)
- Experience with Tracker
- Experience in pediatrics or specialized care environments
- Bilingual (Russian-speaking candidates are considered a strong asset)
- Strong patient education and compliance-focused communication skills
Technology & Systems
Experience with Tracker is highly preferred. Candidates unfamiliar with the software must be willing to complete independent learning and training as part of onboarding.
Schedule
- Combination of morning and evening shifts
- Alternate Saturdays required
