Thermo Design Insulation (TDI) Ltd. is a specialty trade contractor whose core business is the supply and installation of insulated metal panels and specialty doors for commercial, industrial, and architectural applications — including cooler and freezer enclosures, cold storage warehouses, refrigerated grocery distribution facilities, and food processing plants.
Role Summary
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Accounting Administrator plays a key role in supporting the accounting department and Edmonton branch operations. The majority of weekly responsibilities will centre on payroll and expense processing and customer billings.
Responsibilities:
Payroll
- Assist the Payroll Administrator with time tabulation and timecard entry for weekly and bi-weekly payroll
- Review, code, and enter employee expense reports on a weekly basis
- Assist with Records of Employment (RoE) processing and new hire administration
- Assist with monthly union and benefit reporting
Customer Billings
- Prepare time and material billings
- Assist with monthly progress billings as needed
- File invoice copies in job files and numerical files
Accounts Payable
- Date stamp and code all vendor invoices
- Distribute vendor invoices for approval and match approvals to originals
- Enter payable transactions as required
- Process cheque runs and file paid invoices
- Perform credit card reconciliations
Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Post cash receipts on a timely basis
- File cheque and EFT stubs
Project Administration
- Update contract information in the system
- Coordinate with Project Managers regarding contract-related issues
Accounting
- Assist with monthly accruals and reconciliations
- Assist with monthly filings for GST/EHT/WCB
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Accounting diploma (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Viewpoint Vista is considered a strong asset
- Payroll experience — particularly with large payrolls of 250+ employees on a bi-weekly cycle — is considered a strong asset

Pay: $47,840.00-$54,080.00 per year
