We’re looking for a motivated, food-loving individual to help lead our Produce Department at our Mattick’s Farm location! As an Assistant Produce Manager, you’ll work alongside the Produce Manager to keep our department fresh, vibrant, and welcoming while helping to support and motivate your team.
Responsibilities
- Quality Control: Ensure that all produce meets company standards for freshness, quality, and appearance.
- Merchandising: Create eye-catching displays that showcase our selection of fruits, vegetables, and other produce items.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, ensure proper product rotation, place orders as needed, and help minimize waste.
- Cleanliness & Organization: Keep the produce department clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- Leadership: Assist the Produce Manager with training, coaching, and mentoring team members.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly, knowledgeable service and help create a welcoming shopping experience for our customers.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a grocery store or similar environment is preferred.
- Product Knowledge: Strong knowledge of fresh produce, including seasonality, quality, and handling.
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Great customer service skills.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
- Availability: Flexible schedule.
