About the Role
The Carbon Sales Associate will support ClearSky’s Head of Sales in advancing commercial relationships, managing sales processes, and preparing market-facing materials across a diverse portfolio of carbon credits and climate solutions. This role is ideal for a commercially minded candidate who is interested in carbon markets, buyer engagement, and transaction support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Sales in managing pipeline development, buyer engagement, and sales execution.
- Prepare buyer presentations, project teasers, diligence packs, and other commercial materials.
- Maintain CRM records, track outreach, and support coordination of active opportunities.
- Conduct market research on buyer trends, demand segments, pricing, and contracting structures.
- Support responses to buyer questions and diligence requests in coordination with technical and project teams.
- Assist in preparing proposals, term sheets, and internal summaries for commercial opportunities.
- Help coordinate meetings, follow-up actions, and sales reporting.
- Build familiarity with ClearSky’s project portfolio and key credit attributes to support effective positioning in the market.
- Represent ClearSky professionally in written correspondence, virtual meetings, and event preparation.
Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience in sales support, business development, carbon markets, commodity markets, or related commercial roles.
- Relevant education in business, economics, environmental markets, finance, or a related discipline.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work with both commercial and technical teams.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM tools, and sales support systems.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Interest in voluntary and compliance carbon markets.
- Experience with carbon credits, environmental commodities, or structured sales processes is an asset.
