Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood development, strong caregiving skills, and experience working with diverse groups of children, including those with disabilities. Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Monitor and assess individual children's progress, providing support tailored to their needs.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing necessary accommodations.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and daily activities in compliance with licensing standards.
- Ensure the classroom remains clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings is highly preferred.
- Classroom experience demonstrating the ability to manage group activities effectively.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
