Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 5 Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting materials and equipment safely and efficiently to various locations, supporting our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in heavy equipment operation, loader handling, and sanitation procedures, ensuring smooth logistics and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks for the transportation of goods, materials, and equipment within designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo using loaders, forklifts, or excavators as required, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Conduct routine inspections of trucks and equipment to maintain safety and operational readiness.
- Assist with the operation of heavy machinery including excavators and forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of trucks and work areas to meet health and safety standards.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation duties.
- Document delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and inspection reports accurately.
- Support manufacturing operations by assisting with loading/unloading at the facility as needed.
Qualifications
- Class 5 licence is required with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, and forklifts preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures related to vehicle cleaning and worksite cleanliness.
- Strong attention to safety protocols and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
