Apeiro Construction is a rapidly growing civil infrastructure and ICI construction company specializing in concrete, underground utilities, roadwork, restoration, site servicing, and industrial/commercial construction projects throughout Ontario.
We are looking for a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented estimator with strong Canadian construction experience who can support the company’s continued expansion into larger infrastructure and industrial markets.
Position Overview
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for civil infrastructure, municipal, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. The successful candidate must be capable of managing multiple tenders simultaneously while working closely with operations, project management, and executive leadership.
The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in Canada
- Strong experience in ICI and Civil construction
- Experience with municipal tenders and public procurement
- Knowledge of underground utilities, concrete, asphalt, excavation, grading, and site servicing
- Strong understanding of construction operations and project logistics
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to work in-office and collaborate directly with the operations and management teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HeavyBid, Bid2Win, Bluebeam, Excel, or similar estimating software
- Experience with infrastructure and public sector projects
- Design-build experience considered an asset
- PMP, Gold Seal, CET, or engineering background considered an asset
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender packages
- Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Prepare budgets and bid submissions
- Assist with procurement and project planning
- Identify project risks and opportunities
- Maintain organized bid documentation and estimating records
- Support operations and project management teams
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and tender reviews
- Help improve internal estimating systems and workflows
