Job Summary
Nurse Supervisors administer the mission, philosophy, and objectives of Hope's Home. They are accountable for the management of all operational activities and staff in the Supportive Living program of Hope's Home, including upholding the standards for nursing practice, recreational programs, therapeutic programs, staff development and accreditation.
Nurse Supervisors also manage and delegate work assignments to staff on the floor, which includes the supervising daily staffing ratios of Nurses, Developmental Workers and Recreational Programmers within the program. They also monitor the medical needs of all children in the program. Nurse Supervisors work in a team environment while maintaining consistent communications with the child's outside professionals, in order to provide the exceptional care required to meet the evolving needs of each child with complex medical needs living at Hope's Home.
Nurse Supervisors are accountable to the Senior Manager of Supportive Living, who reports to the Ministry of Social Services regarding individual contracts and licensing. House Manager will provide direct support to the Nurse Supervisor.
