Logistics Coordinator
BTX Global Logistics – YYZ Station
BTX Global Logistics is looking for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our YYZ Station. This role is responsible for coordinating freight movements throughout North America while providing exceptional service to our customers and transportation partners.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers, carriers, and vendors to ensure shipments move efficiently from pickup to delivery. This position begins with one to three months of in-person training with our one of our Senior Logistics Coordinators in the Barrie area, after which it transitions to a remote work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage shipments throughout North America.
- Use the company's transportation management software to enter, route, quote, book, monitor, update, alert, and manage shipments.
- Source transportation providers using BTX Global's preferred carrier network and identify the best carrier for each shipment based on service requirements.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, vendors, and transportation partners regarding shipment status, scheduling, and any service issues.
- Provide professional customer service and build positive relationships with clients and carrier partners.
- Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery and respond promptly to any issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation.
- Ensure shipments are handled in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to support daily operations and deliver a high level of service.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry.
- Experience working in a third-party logistics (3PL) environment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of transportation and logistics terminology.
- Experience with freight routing, shipment coordination, and carrier management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable using transportation management software and Microsoft Office.
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
