We are seeking a Versatile Welder to support a variety of civil and commercial construction projects throughout the GTA. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys diverse work rather than repetitive shop production.
The successful candidate will perform on-site welding and cutting tasks related to construction, demolition, structural modifications, and miscellaneous steel installations.
Responsibilities
- Torch and remove steel pile heads, anchors, and embedded steel as required.
- Perform welding repairs to structural steel, plates, brackets, beams, and miscellaneous metal components.
- Weld and install guardrails, handrails, bollards, gates, fencing, and steel supports.
- Complete field welding for temporary works, shoring, access structures, and site modifications.
- Cut and remove existing steel during demolition and renovation projects.
- Install and repair miscellaneous steel components on commercial and infrastructure projects.
- Operate oxy-acetylene torches, grinders, and welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work alongside construction crews to complete project-specific welding tasks.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of welding experience in construction or structural steel.
- Experience with MIG and Stick (SMAW) welding.
- Experience using oxy-acetylene cutting torches.
- Ability to read basic drawings and work independently from site instructions.
- Working at Heights certification is an asset.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
