Q-Line Trucking is seeking experienced and dependable Class 1 Drivers to join our Specialized Open Deck Division based in Hope, BC.
This role involves hauling construction equipment, agricultural machinery, over-dimensional freight, and specialized cargo throughout British Columbia, Alberta, and the Pacific Northwest United States. Drivers can expect a mix of regional work, project freight, port moves, and occasional cross-border trips into Washington State, including the Ports of Tacoma and Seattle.
Our drivers haul the equipment that builds roads, supports mining operations, powers construction projects, and drives industry across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. From excavators and dozers to crushers, mining equipment, and oversized loads, no two days are the same.
Experience with RGN’s is a must
This position is ideal for drivers who enjoy challenging freight and want to work with specialized equipment and trailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport open deck, over-dimensional, and specialized freight throughout Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest.
- Haul construction equipment, agricultural machinery, mining equipment, and industrial cargo.
- Operate flat deck, step deck, and RGN trailers.
- Secure freight using chains, binders, straps, blocking, and tarps.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate logs, permits, bills of lading, and required documentation.
- Comply with all Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations, including Hours of Service requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, ports, and project personnel.
- Maintain assigned equipment in a clean and professional condition.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

- Minimum two years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Experience hauling open deck, equipment, or over-dimensional freight.
- Experience with RGN trailers considered a strong asset.
- Strong load securement knowledge and experience with chains, binders, and tarping.
- Experience working in construction, industrial, mining, or heavy equipment transportation environments is an asset.
- Valid passport and ability to cross the Canada/U.S. border.
- TWIC Card considered a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of transportation safety and regulatory requirements.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
