Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a production baker. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including Scones, cookies, pastries, and quick breads including brioche and pretzel dough, following established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring ingredients, and assembling products
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Package baked goods securely for retail display or customer orders
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, answering questions about products and taking orders when needed
- Follow all food safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff
Skills
- Proven experience in a commercial kitchen showing a range of baking techniques.
- Strong background in food preparation within a restaurant or bakery setting
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience including food safety certification is preferred
- Familiarity with food industry standards for packaging and presentation
- Basic cooking skills with an understanding of food industry operations
