Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. This role is critical in ensuring efficient warehouse distribution, transportation management, and order fulfillment processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills, expertise in ERP systems, and a comprehensive understanding of procurement, sourcing, and freight management. The Logistics Manager will lead efforts in process improvement, demand planning, and materials management to support our company's growth and operational excellence.
Duties
- Manage end-to-end supply chain activities including warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment.
- Oversee procurement and sourcing activities to ensure cost-effective purchasing of materials and services.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems to coordinate logistics operations.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels across the supply chain.
- Coordinate with 3PL providers for freight, shipping, and delivery services while managing pricing negotiations.
- Supervise warehouse activities such as order picking, packaging, and materials management to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement demand planning strategies using data analysis skills to forecast inventory needs accurately.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards related to forklift operation and warehouse procedures.
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends, optimize routes, and improve overall supply chain performance.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure sourcing aligns with production schedules and business requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of customs regulations, trade compliance, and cross-border logistics.
- Proven success negotiating transportation contracts and managing logistics vendors.
- Deep knowledge of ocean, air, rail, and trucking operations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex logistics data for process improvement.
- Experience with demand planning, pricing strategies, materials management, and sourcing practices.
- Knowledge of e-commerce logistics workflows including packaging and order picking processes.
