Job Summary
The responsibilities of the Woodworking Machine Operators role vary depending on which area(s) of the factory is deemed the best fit. Major tasks will be operation of machines as well as the programming of CNC Machine. It can also include feeding materials into machinery, assembling items, packaging items, or storing items. Some Production Workers take a supervisory role and simply ensure that the production process runs smoothly. Workers also be tasked with performing quality checks and cleaning and maintaining production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Machine Operation
- Safely operate large‑scale woodworking machinery such as saws, edge banders, and drills.
- Safely operate small tools and hand tools including drills, shapers, and sanders.
- Operate gluing machines to join wood pieces or apply/press wood veneer to surfaces.
- Depending on the machine, program and operate CNC or manual woodworking machines such as:
- Saws
- Edgers
2. Production & Assembly
- Read production orders, drawings, and diagrams.
- Assemble cabinetry components using machinery and equipment provided.
- Correct deficiencies and errors following quality control and operational guidelines.
- Complete parts requests and extraordinary orders as required by production needs.
3. Safety & Compliance
- Follow all standard operating procedures for machines and tools.
- Follow lock‑out / tag‑out procedures for all machines and tools.
- Keep workspaces hazard‑free.
- Maintain clean, tidy work areas free of debris.
- Participate in required safety training, including WCB courses, drills, surveys, toolbox talks, and other safety activities required by the employer or WCB.
4. General & Additional Duties
- Perform counting, tallying, and requesting supplies as needed.
- Support workflow and assist with various tasks across the production area as assigned.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
