Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications. This position is essential for maintaining a smooth workflow within the pharmacy environment, particularly in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Manage inventory by restocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and organizing medication supplies.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication administration logs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication regarding patient medication needs.
- Utilize medical terminology to assist in medication-related tasks and documentation.
- Support pharmacy operations by performing clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and handling prescription orders.
Experience
Must have at least 1 year experience .We will test the knowledge for the job
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a hospital pharmacy setting is a must.
- Familiarity with medication administration processes and patient care protocols.
- Knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and healthcare staff.
