Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients achieve relaxation and relief from tension through various massage techniques. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of medical terminology to effectively address client needs and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including Swedish, deep tissue, and therapeutic techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly sanitized and stored.
- Assess client conditions by reviewing medical histories and conducting thorough consultations before treatments.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend follow-up treatments or self-care practices.
- Document treatment plans, progress notes, and any changes in clients' conditions accurately in the client management system.
- Uphold professional standards of customer service, ensuring a welcoming environment for all clients.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist is required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with clients and healthcare professionals.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients quickly.
- Strong communication skills to explain treatment plans clearly and address any client concerns.
