Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Restaurant Operations Assistant specializing in cashouts and administration. This role involves managing daily financial transactions, supporting restaurant operations, and ensuring smooth customer service experiences. Duties
- Handle cash handling and cashiering duties accurately using Micros POS or similar systems
- Manage customer transactions, including processing payments and issuing receipts
- Assist with food preparation and food safety procedures to ensure quality standards are met
- Support food industry operations by coordinating between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage daily cashouts, reconcile register totals, and prepare financial reports
- Support administrative tasks such as inventory tracking, order processing, and record keeping
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Square POS, is highly desirable
- Experience in cashiering, cash handling, and basic math skills are essential for accurate transaction processing
- Knowledge of food preparation, food safety practices, and sanitation procedures is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently during busy periods
- Prior restaurant or food industry experience will be advantageous for understanding operational workflows
- Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and effective communication skills
