What is the opportunity?
The RBC Avion Rewards loyalty program is one of the largest proprietary loyalty programs in Canada. The vision is to expand the program beyond credit card and become RBC’s overall loyalty program to aid in deepening client relationships, increasing engagement and to drive top of wallet for our products
With the fierce competition in the loyalty space, providing unique digital base redemption options is paramount in maintaining an overall industry leading loyalty program. With this in mind, we are looking to hire an energetic, collaborative and strategic-minded individual for the position of Manager, Product, Loyalty & Rewards. You will have responsibility for the strategic direction, execution and product management of RBC’s Everyday Rewards product portfolio.
What will you do?

Responsible for the performance of the Everyday Rewards portfolio with the goal of achieving profitable growth as well as cost optimization

Implement strategies for RBC’s Everyday Rewards product portfolio for existing and new products in order to (i) Provide continued differentiation in the marketplace while building a sustainable and flexible platform for the future (ii) Establish new partnerships across the Canadian landscape that will increase points utility and drive redemptions and engagement (iii) Establish and build future roadmaps

Initiate and/or support operational initiatives that optimize the redemption experience including fulfillment; inventory management; etc.

Manage day-to-day performance of driving optimal redemption mix results, and customer engagement metrics

Monitor competitive landscape and explore new product constructs to identify current and future consumer needs and business opportunities; understand competitor offerings and threats; and develop business cases/recommendations

Leverage the value in unit, department, and enterprise wide teams to develop better solutions and achieve across enterprise mindset

Work across business lines (Operations, IT, Marketing, Credit Cards, Procurement, Legal, Digital) to ensure that activities relating to the performance and management of the portfolio are operating in the most optimal way possible.

Work closely with Product partners to understand client needs and develop strategies to address these needs
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
-
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant strategy and product management experience with deep knowledge and experience in Loyalty industry

Strong financial acumen and ability to use information and data to provide recommendations on the direction of the portfolio

Excellent relationship management, influencing and collaboration skills
-
Ability to create well-articulated presentations to support business decision
-
Appetite for innovative technology, fast-changing business environment, and data-driven decision making
-
Demonstrate ability to work based on a variety of KPI metrics (targets, goals and/or strategic objectives)
Nice to have:

End to end project execution experiences

Digital and E-commerce experience
