CNC Operator – Laser Table, Press Brake & Fabrication
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role covers a range of fabrication processes including laser cutting, forming, welding, and finishing. Applicants are not expected to have every skill listed—candidates with some or all of these capabilities are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided where needed.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC equipment for cutting, bending, and fabrication work
- Operate laser table and press brake equipment
- Perform basic welding tasks (MIG/TIG) as required for assemblies and part completion
- Carry out surface finishing processes including automated deburring machines, grinding, sanding, and part prep for coating
- Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and product specifications
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper function and accuracy
- Inspect finished parts for quality, fit, and dimensional accuracy
- Use measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and keep work areas organized
- Follow all company safety procedures and shop guidelines
- Assist with material handling and general shop/warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in one or more of the following: CNC operation, laser cutting, press brake operation, welding, or fabrication
- Welding experience (MIG/TIG/ and or Laser) is an asset
- Experience with surface finishing processes (grinding, sanding, deburring) is an asset
- Experience with Profile T, CypCut, and/or Nest & Cut is an asset
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings
- Basic understanding of CNC programming and machine operation is beneficial
- Forklift experience considered an asset
- Comfortable using precision measuring tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
