Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping clients achieve relaxation and relief from pain through various massage techniques. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to create a calming environment for clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough client assessments to determine individual needs and preferences.
- Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and in good condition.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend follow-up treatments as needed.
- Document client sessions accurately, noting any changes in condition or feedback.
- Collaborate with other wellness professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in massage therapy techniques.
Qualifications
- Valid state license or certification in massage therapy.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics.
- Previous experience in a spa, clinic, or wellness center is preferred but not required.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in the field of massage therapy.
