About KeepConnected
We've been helping Ottawa residents and small businesses with their technology since 2002. We're not a call centre — we're a local team that shows up, listens, and actually fixes the problem. Our clients know us by name, and that's exactly how we like it.
We're growing and looking for a friendly, capable technician to join us in the field.
What You'll Be Doing
- Visiting clients at their homes and small business offices across Ottawa to troubleshoot and resolve tech issues
- Setting up computers, networks, printers, and other devices
- Diagnosing and repairing hardware and software problems
- Removing viruses and malware and helping clients stay protected
- Providing clear, patient explanations so clients actually understand what happened and what to do next
- Occasionally handling remote support calls when not in the field
What We're Looking For
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on IT support experience (home visits, help desk, IT support, or similar)
- A calm, friendly manner with people of all technical comfort levels — this matters as much as technical skill
- Strong troubleshooting instincts across Windows environments, networking, and common hardware issues
- A valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable access to a vehicle
- Someone who takes ownership and follows through — our clients count on us
Formal certifications are welcome but not required. If you can solve problems and make people feel at ease, we want to hear from you.
Why KeepConnected
- Work with a small, experienced local team (not a corporation)
- Variety every day — no two calls are the same
- Clients who genuinely appreciate good service
- Flexibility and autonomy in how you manage your day
