Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. Prior dealership experience and mechanical expertise are highly valued for this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including engine diagnostics, brake repairs, suspension work, and electrical systems
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs accurately and efficiently
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify potential problems before they become major issues
- Assist with assembly and disassembly of vehicle components during repair processes
- Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used for each vehicle
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and answering questions professionally
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience, preferably within a dealership or similar automotive service environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as required during repairs
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
- Knowledge of vehicle assembly processes is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy workshop environment
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
