Aurora Montessori School is a co-educational Montessori private school located in the heart of Aurora, Ontario, on 14 acres of natural conservation lands. AMS delivers robust Montessori programming to students Toddler to Grade 8 in a 36,000 sq. ft facility with multiple playground areas, an outdoor amphitheatre and outdoor classroom, and a gymnasium with a performance stage, and so much more.

We are currently seeking Before/After School Care and Recess/Lunch Supervisors. This is a split shift position where successful candidates will typically work up to 5 hours per day.
Recess & Lunch
Midday shifts (typically 11:30 AM – 1:30/2:00 PM)
- Supervise students during recess and lunch periods (indoor and outdoor)
- Ensure student safety and adherence to school rules and expectations
- Support positive conflict resolution and social development
- Communicate any concerns or incidents to homeroom teachers and school administration
- Assist with transitions between classroom and outdoor spaces
Before and After School Care
Before School Care: Approximately 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
After School Care: Approximately 3:00 PM – 5:00/6:00 PM
(Flexible scheduling is available)
- Provide attentive supervision during before and after school hours
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities (games, crafts, outdoors)
- Foster a calm, respectful, and inclusive environment
- Ensure safe arrival and dismissal procedures
- Communicate effectively with staff and parents as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children ages Toddler through Grade 8
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage groups of children with patience and consistency
- Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check required
- Teaching and/or RECE qualifications are considered an asset
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
