Senior Geologist
Northwestern Ontario
Our client, a Canadian gold exploration company advancing a high-grade Archean orogenic gold project in Northwestern Ontario, is seeking an experienced geologist to lead exploration and resource development activities at their flagship Thundercloud Project. This is a key technical leadership role with the opportunity to shape a growing exploration program and progress toward a VP-level leadership path.
Competitive base salary?($140,000–$170,000?CAD, based on experience)
Performance-based bonus tied to drilling and feasibility milestones
Equity participation through stock options
Field and travel expenses fully covered per company policy
Flexible rotation schedule (four weeks in?/?two weeks out)
Entrepreneurial culture offering technical autonomy and close collaboration with executive leadership
Lead all aspects of exploration and drilling at the Thundercloud gold project from targeting through to feasibility study preparation
Develop and refine 3D geological and structural models to guide project advancement
Coordinate drilling contractors, sampling protocols, and QA/QC programs
Contribute to resource updates, NI?43-101 technical reporting, and project feasibility documentation
Communicate technical results and recommendations directly to the executive team and board
Build and mentor a growing geological team as project activity scales
Geology degree, registered P.Geo. and Qualified Person (or eligible) under NI?43-101
7+ years of hands-on exploration experience
Proven record in drill program design, execution, and resource estimation support
Proficiency with 3D geological modeling and GIS tools
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with an ownership mindset
Willingness to spend extended periods on site during the active field season (June?–?September)
