Job Title: Room Attendants (Night Rooms)

Do you take pride in the work that you do? The Room Attendant is one of Hyatt Place Kelowna’s most important positions. Candidates will provide exceptional cleanliness service to all guest rooms and public space. Along with providing superior customer care to every single guest entering or calling the Hyatt Place Kelowna.
Responsibilities & Skills
- Cleans guest rooms and guest areas; including but not limited to – making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning windows and mirrors, and replacing supplies.
- Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, following WHMIS guidelines and hotel requirements.
- Clean assigned guest rooms by priority. World of Hyatt Members are heavy priority.
- Transport cart with cleaning supplies, amenities and linens to assigned guest room and position securely
- Empty all trash containers and recycling bins.
- Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor.
- Dust and polish all furniture, pictures, frames, mirrors, light bulbs and switches, TV and remote, as well as cable box
- Inspect condition of all furniture for tears, rips or stains; report any damages to maintenance.
- Remove dust, spots and smears from all doors, drapes, windows, ledges, frames, baseboards, AC unit, corners and telephones
- Ensure presence of fire safety, rate cards and DND signs
- Participate in Hyatt Places Deep Clean program
- Update status of rooms cleaned on assignment sheet
- Return and restock cart at end of shift as well as empty vacuum bag and wipe vacuum clean. Respond all guest requests in Courteous and prompt manner responds.
- Assist in public area cleaning and laundry departments as assigned.
- Must be able to perform other side duties as assigned by Housekeeping Manager and GM
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of Housekeeping experience preferred
- Available to work afternoons and evenings from 2pm-10pm for night crew rooms
- Experience working with cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Team player who possesses good planning and problem solving and the ability to work with other departments.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as shifts will include weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Pay: $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
