Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning and decommisioning process of mechanical systems within complex industial manufacturing projects, ensuring that all equipment and systems operate according to design specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical engineering expertise, experience with system integration, and proficiency in drafting and CAD tools. Duties
- Manage the decommissioning and commissioning of industrial manufacturing equipment
- Manage the project from conception through completion, oversee vendors and safety.
- Lead the commissioning of mechanical systems, including pumps, turbines, HVAC units, and mechanical manufacturing equipment, ensuring proper installation and operation.
- Develop detailed schematics, technical drawings, and system layouts using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Drafting tools.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical components with electrical and control systems.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems utilizing tools like MATLAB, LabVIEW, and CNC machinery to verify performance.
- Prepare comprehensive commissioning reports, documentation, and validation procedures aligned with project standards.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to facilitate smooth system integration and resolve technical issues during startup.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the commissioning process.
- Support system design improvements by analyzing data collected during testing phases and proposing enhancements.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, system design, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks, Creo, and Drafting for creating detailed schematics.
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation control.
- Familiarity with MATLAB and LabVIEW for data analysis and system testing.
- Prefered Hands-on experience with CNC machinery and manufacturing environments.
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical/mechanical schematics.
- Knowledge of system integration involving HVAC systems, pumps, turbines, or similar equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication abilities.
- Understanding of mechanical knowledge related to system troubleshooting and performance optimization.
