Green Team Member Chalmers Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation (CNRC)
Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal Positions
Available: 4 Hours: 30 hours per week (360 hours total, 12 weeks)
Schedule: Monday to Friday; evenings and weekends required
Location: In person - 180 Poplar Avenue, Winnipeg, MB Start Date: May 20, 2026

ABOUT THE ROLE
Green Team Members are responsible for the beautification of the Chalmers and Elmwood neighbourhoods. This includes maintaining and improving outdoor green spaces and providing hands-on services to community members. Green Team Members also support CNRC staff across programs and operations as needed. Work will be guided and supervised by CNRC's Organization Development Coordinator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain green spaces: yard work, grass cutting, raking, garden planting, watering, general maintenance, and litter control
- Assist CNRC staff and community members in various capacities
- Represent CNRC in a professional and community-minded manner
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in outdoor maintenance or community work is an asset
- Must be willing to perform physical work in outdoor environments
- Ability to communicate effectively with community members and co-workers
- Driver License (preferred)
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to contribute and deliver services to community members
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
ELIGIBILITY
This position is funded through the Government of Manitoba's Green Team program, which supports youth employment on community projects between May and August.
